The Cates Family has been raising cattle on pasture for 21 years, ranging its herd on land that has been in the family since 1967. With their children Shannon and Eric, Kim and Dick Cates run a managed-grazing operation on 950 acres, raising Black Angus and Jersey steers on the lush grasslands of southern Wisconsin. Their beef is marketed directly to local restaurants, retailers and individuals.
